› The University of Copenhagen is launching a new interesting and ambitious program, “The Asian Dynamics Iniative”:

With the launch of Asian Dynamics Initiative the University of Copenhagen aims to strengthen its position as a major strategic source of knowledge regarding Asian societies and communities. The cross-disciplinary initiative is a joint venture between the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences. The following new positions are announced within the initiative:

* A full professorship in modern Indian/South Asian studies
* A full professorship in Asian security studies
* A full professorship in international economics with focus on globalization and emerging Asian economies
* A full professorship in the anthropology of Asia
* An associate professorship in Western China/Central Asia
